National Nutrition Week, run by Nutrition Australia from 12–18 October 2026, is an annual campaign focused on creating a more connected and nourished Australia. This year, the campaign highlights four key areas: positive food experiences for children and young people, food and nutrition security, the relationship between food and mental wellbeing, and environmental sustainability and reducing food waste.

The campaign encourages individuals, families, workplaces, schools and community groups to get involved through activities such as sharing recipes, celebrating different food cultures, learning about food and wellbeing, reducing food waste and promoting positive food environments. National Nutrition Week is about recognising that nutrition is more than simply what we eat—it is connected to health, wellbeing, community, culture, affordability and sustainability.

Here’s a great recipe from the Nutrition Australia website to give you some inspiration- enjoy!
